New environments can be daunting for every individual as they have to dabble on multiple fronts, such as navigating through social and professional hierarchies, new colleagues, new cultures etc. These social situations can be more pressing for women, if they are in a male dominated or gender biased environments, as it could lead to social awkwardness and exclusion, non-participation, social complex, or even dropping out. 

●   Conduct mentoring programs with your employees.
 

●   Engage with your employees through welcome cards, culture    videos, weekly updates, newsletters, team and stakeholder introductions.
 

●    Provide newcomers with all the tools and maps to help them navigate through the different teams and stakeholders eg. Buddy system
 

●    Ensure all employees are familiarised on the diversity policies and initiatives of the company.
 

●    Invest in developing a mutual understanding of expectations, motivations, and values between employees.
